Self-catering apartment in a listed timber-framed house in the historic centre of Soest

Ready for a journey through time? The apartment in our old timber-framed house is furnished, complete with accessories, from various different time periods - Heinrich Aldegrever meets Wilhelm Morgner. Our house sleeps a maximum of 7 guests: It has 3 bedrooms plus a sofa-bed (in a seperate connecting room). The apartment extends over 2 floors, each with its own bathroom: downstairs with a bath, upstairs with a shower. The upper floor is accessed via a space-saving staircase, for which a degree of agility and body control is required. Behind the house you will find the large south-east facing terrace, which through its protected position, almost has its own microclimate. We have eaten breakfast and taken afternoon coffee outside on the terrace in February! The terrace gives access, via a metal staircase, to the Mini garden, and from there into the garage.

Our house is located in the historic city of Soest and within the old City walls. It is just a five minute walk to the cathedral and three minutes to the shops.

The Hanseatic City of Soest

One of the most beautiful cities in Germany invites you to sit and relax for a holiday away from everyday life in the midst of picturesque timber-framed houses, romantic streets and allies, and monumental green sandstone buildings. An almost completely preserved wall around the ancient town brings to life how important Soest was in the Middle Ages. In addition to the many other historic buildings and art treasures, the Burghofmuseum and the Church of St. Mary zur Höhe are absolute highlights that, under no circumstances should be missed.

Soest annually renews its relationship with its history in a festive procession in period costumes to Soest Feud. Another annually recurring event is the Allerheiligenkirmes, which is visited from afar. And when it comes to going out: traditional Westphalian gastronomy, but also international restaurants and numerous pubs await the hungry and thirsty visitor.
